Forever Young features a selection of international hits performed by a group of old characters who still have the rock'n'roll spirit in them.

MADRID, SPAIN, March 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A group of oldies show they can still rock out in Forever Young, a feel-good musical being staged at Madrid's Teatro Compac Gran Via.

Running until April 24th 2011, the production features seven young actors playing the part of themselves in 40 years' time.

But age has not dimmed the spirit of their characters and the group performs a selection of international hits, such as Walk on the Wild Side, Smells Like Teen Spirit and the titular song.

Forever Young was originally written by Erik Gedeon and has been staged at Hamburg's Thalia Theatre for nine consecutive seasons.

The Madrid show is given a local flavour by translating some lyrics into Spanish and replacing certain tracks with popular songs from Spain.

Admission ranges from EUR19 up to EUR38 (GBP16.60 to GBP33.25) depending on where people want to sit.

The performance begins at 20:30 local time from Tuesday to Thursday, 21:00 on Friday, 19:00 and 22:00 on Saturday and 18:00 on Sunday.

Anyone travelling to the theatre by Metro should alight at Callao or Plaza de Espana.
