MAKATI, PHILIPPINES, March 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Manila will next month play host to a concert from iconic singers Basil Valdez and Zsa Zsa Padilla.

The award-winning vocalists will join forces for the show at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre (NPAT) in Pasay City.

Padilla, nicknamed the Divine Diva, is one of the most popular performers in the Philippines. Throughout her lengthy career she has made her name as an actress, singer, songwriter, music producer and businesswoman.

She rose to prominence in the early 1980s after linking up with the band Hotdog, touring with the group for almost a year before going solo.

Her first major concert came at the Araneta Coliseum back in 1984 and proved to be a huge success.

Since then, Padilla has released a string of hit records. Her most recent effort, 2009's Unchanging Love, includes tracks such as Memories and Changes.

The show with Valdez will take place on April 26th 2011. Doors at the NPAT are set to open at 20:00 local time.

Tickets start at 1,605 Philippine pesos (GBP22.90), with the most expensive seats costing 4,280 Philippine pesos.
