Acclaimed Scottish folk group Bodega are heading to Keswick's Theatre by the Lake in February next year.

LAKE DISTRICT, ENGLAND, January 06, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- One of the best young folk bands in the UK are due to appear at the Theatre by the Lake in early 2011.

Scottish five-piece Bodega will perform at the Keswick venue on Thursday February 3rd, giving guests of Lake District accommodation a chance to enjoy their acclaimed sound.

Formed in 2005, the group were named young folk band of the year by BBC Radio 2 in 2006 and have played at many of the country's biggest music festivals.

They have also completed two successful tours of the US and appeared at venues in Italy, Norway and The Netherlands.

The eclectic sound of Bodega - comprised of Gillian Chalmers, Tia Files, Norrie MacIver, June Naylor and Ross Couper - is said to derive from the fact that each member hails from a different area of Scotland's Highlands and Islands.

Having now released several CDs of their songs, the band have seen their reputation grow in the UK and are sure to attract plenty of fans when they hit the road once more.

Tickets for the Theatre by the Lake performance will be available to book from Monday January 3rd, priced between GBP8 and GBP15.
