US R&B sensation Jason Derulo is heading to the Muffathalle in Munich next month.

MUNICH, GERMANY, August 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pop music fans have a good reason to book Munich hotels next month, as R&B star Jason Derulo is set to perform in the city.

The man behind hits such as Watcha Say and In My Head will be taking to the stage at the Muffathalle venue on Saturday September 18th as part of his European tour.

Derulo released his self-titled debut album in March this year and followed it up with third single Ridin' Solo, which continued his success by placing at number two in the UK singles chart.

For fans in Germany, the Munich concert will provide an opportunity to see the 20-year-old star's energetic live performance and hear his distinctive vocals in a live setting.

He is expected to perform many of the tracks from his album, including the latest single What If.

Having appeared as one of the opening acts on Lady Gaga's Monster Ball Tour last year, Derulo has developed into a confident and popular performer on stage.

Frequently compared to more established artists such as Usher and Justin Timberlake, Derulo's arrival on the scene was recently confirmed by two nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards.

The Miami-born singer is in contention for best new artist at next month's ceremony, while In My Head has been nominated in the best male video category.

Derulo's Munich performance is due to get underway at 20:30 local time and tickets are now available online, with prices starting at EUR26.65 (GBP22).

The Muffathalle is one of the Bavarian capital's top venues for live music and also offers several popular club nights, including Rave Universe, the Starmelt Club and the Jalla World Music Club.

For those who cannot make it to Munich, Derulo has scheduled several other dates in Germany next month. He is due to play in Hamburg on September 15th before heading on to Berlin and Cologne.
