LateRooms.com - See Italian Star Ligabue Perform in Milan
Luciano Ligabue will be taking to the stage at Milan's famous San Siro stadium for two nights in July.
MILAN, ITALY, July 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Holidaymakers looking for a typically Italian musical experience may like to see Luciano Ligabue live in Milan next month.
The singer-songwriter is due to play at the city's Stadio Giuseppe Meazza - more commonly known as the San Siro football stadium - on July 16th and 17th.
Although not a household name outside his native country, Ligabue is a hugely popular performer among Italian music fans and released his 15th album, Arrivederci Mostro, earlier this year.
The 50-year-old has also directed films and published an award-winning collection of short stories.
With tickets priced between EUR32.20 and EUR69 (GBP26 and GBP56), the concert will also give people using Milan hotels an opportunity to visit one of the world's most famous football grounds.
As the home of both AC Milan and Internazionale, the San Siro is famed for its steep tiered seating and electrifying atmosphere.
The stadium has a capacity of just over 80,000, making it the eighth largest sports venue in Europe.
However, for many Italians, football will be one of the furthest things from their minds once Ligabue takes to the stage next month.
As well as songs from Arrivederci Mostro, the artist is exected to play tracks from other popular albums, including Nome e Cognome and Miss Mondo.
Commenting on the Ligabue concert, Jessica Reading, head of marketing for LateRooms, said: "We strongly urge people thinking of going to see Ligabue and who need hotel Milano to book early to avoid disappointment."
