Southport Yacht Club will celebrate its 28th anniversary by holding Popera at Dux next month.

SOUTH STRADBROKE ISLAND, AUSTRALIA, July 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The musical worlds of pop, opera and show tunes are set to collide next month in Popera at Dux, a show which will mark the 28th anniversary of the Southport Yacht Club.

Due to take place on August 15th 2010 at the Dux Island Retreat on South Stradbroke Island, organisers have promised the celebrations will feature some great music in a glorious outdoor setting.

As well as opera and classical favourites, a series of Broadway hits will also be included in the show, with an "extraordinary cast" booked to perform these numbers.

Billed as a "spectacular journey of music", the team behind the birthday festivities have said they will make sure it is a show that people of all ages can step out from their Gold Coast accommodation to enjoy.

Visitors need not worry that an empty stomach will get in the way of their experience, as attendees have been invited to bring their own picnic or barbeque with them.
