Singer-songwriter Kate Nash will be playing Sydney's Metro Theatre next month.

The London indie-pop songstress will be playing the city's Metro Theatre on August 5th 2010, having recently released her latest LP My Best Friend Is You.

It spawned a string of hits, including the likes of Mouthwash and Pumpkin Soup, which could get an airing at the Sydney gig alongside her recent single Doo Wah Doo.

While she has managed to build up hordes of loyal fans over the past three years, Kate has also succeeded in impressing leading music industry figures, resulting in her winning the much sought after accolade of best female at the 2008 Brit Awards.

Tickets for the Metro Theatre performance are priced at A$55 (GBP31), with the doors set to open at 20:00 local time.
