LateRooms.com - Check Out Norfolk's Beatles to Bowie Exhibition
Discover a slice of music heritage at the Beatles to Bowie exhibition in Norfolk.
NORFOLK, ENGLAND, July 21, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Music fans booked in at Norfolk hotels this summer should aim to visit the Beatles to Bowie: The 60s Exposed exhibition during their trip.
The display could be great fun for older enthusiasts wanting to revisit their glory days or youngsters curious about the musical history of the UK.
This fascinating show is available to view until September 5th 2010 at the Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery, which can be found on the Castle Mound in the middle of the town.
"Over 150 photographs, together with a range of memorabilia, illustrate how the photographic image, music and performance made these popstars the leading icons of their time," explained the organisers.
They highlighted how the exhibition shows the variety of music that was made in the 1960s, as pop led into psychedelia and onto progressive tunes.
Some of the bands and singers visitors can expect to see at this display - aside from the titular Liverpudlian moptops and glam legend - are The Who, Cliff Richard, Billy Fury, The Kinks and The John Barry Seven.
Entrance costs GBP3.30 or GBP2.40 for under-17s, with the venue opening from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 and 16:30 BST, as well as on Sundays from 13:00 to 16:30.
