LateRooms.com - Munich Set for Scissor Sisters Concert
The Scissor Sisters are heading to Munich for a show at the Muffathalle next month.

MUNICH, GERMANY, June 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of the Scissor Sisters can see the disco pop band perform live by booking Munich hotels this summer.

The New York group, who return with their third album Night Work later this month, are due to perform at the Bavarian capital's Muffathalle on Tuesday July 20th.

Starting at 20:00 local time, the concert will give Scissor Sisters devotees the chance to hear their latest material, including new single Fire With Fire.

People heading to the Munich gig can also expect the band to play some of their biggest hits, with songs such as Take Your Mama, Laura, Filthy/Gorgeous and I Don't Feel Like Dancin' likely to feature in the set.

The Scissor Sisters are known to have an affinity with German audiences, as lead singer Jake Shears recently revealed how many of the songs on Night Work were inspired by a trip to Berlin.

In a recent article, the Sunday Times described the forthcoming album as an "infinitely singable, paradoxically optimistic paean to a night out".

Shears revealed the group decided to scrap an early version of the record on the advice of Elton John, a known fan of the band.

Recalling the incident, the singer said: "I get a call from Elton. He just says, 'This isn't it, this isn't the record. It's just not right'."

The newspaper also noted that this summer's Scissor Sisters tour should be an exciting event, given that previous live performances have seen the band share the stage with "an assortment of singing melons, giant birds, dancing eggs and telegraph poles, built by Jim Henson's studio".

People planning to see the group perform in Munich can buy tickets from online retailers, with prices starting at GBP43.

"The Scissor Sisters concert is likely to be popular," said Jess Reading, head of marketing at LateRooms. "LateRooms strongly recommends people considering attending to book hotels Munchen as soon as possible."
