Mike Patton's Mundo Cane are poised to hit the stage in Milan for what promises to be an unusual show.

MILAN, ITALY, June 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Milan's Arena Civica is all set to welcome one of the former Faith No More frontman's side projects - Mike Patton's Mundo Cane.

The band will hit the stage on July 25th and play a selection of Italian pop hits as re-imagined by the unusual singer, who scored commercial success with Faith No More before going on to collaborate with scores of bands and artists.

Guests at hotels in Milan will no doubt be expecting the unexpected when he hits the stage, as his repertoire ranges from orchestral music to high-octane metal.

Reviewing the 11-track Mundo Cane album, BBC's Steve Chick explains that Patton is fluent in Italian and relishes the "heightened emotion" contained in the 1950s and 1960s hits he is covering.

"Mondo Cane, then, is a heartfelt tribute to this era, to its wild dynamism, its lush orchestration, its sense of high drama and grand romance," explained the journalist.

He described how the record was born while Patton was living in Italy with his wife at the time Titi Zuccatosta.

Tickets for the show cost between EUR34,50 and EUR54,05 online depending on which part of the venue people want to be seated.

The show is expected to start at 21:00, but visitors may wish to get there early in order to have time to get to there seat before the performance begins.
