LateRooms.com - Check Out Traffic in Turin
'Modfather' Paul Weller is one of the massive names on the bill for this summer's Traffic festival in Turin.
TURIN, ITALY, June 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A free festival called Traffic is taking place in Turin in July, which looks set to wow music fans with its combination of international and local talent.
Running from July 14th to 17th, the festival is sure to entice more travellers to accommodation in Turin, particularly since former Jam singer Paul Weller will be playing on the 15th.
The Jam were formed in 1972 by Weller and school friend Steve Brookes and went on to become an iconic band in the punk and mod scenes.
Other artists who are likely to have plenty of support in the audience are French star Charlotte Gainsbourg, legendary ska kings The Specials and indie-dance merchants Klaxons.
There will be plenty of dancing going on in the streets of Turin during the occasion, since Tiga, Erol Alkan and Afrika Bambaataa are all on the bill as well.
Organisers claim about 800,000 have attended Traffic since it was first established in 2004 and this year will be held in Piazza Carignano.
Last year, some of the acts that took the stage included Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Primal Scream, Underworld and Santigold.
The whole weekend is free of charge and there will be several displays mixing music, film and the visual arts to create a stunning experience for people in attendance.
For more information on this event visit the Traffic website or contact the venue on 800 329 329.
If you're heading to the Traffic this year, we strongly advise that you book your hotel Torino as soon as possible, given the huge popularity of the event.
