Anyone visiting the island of Langkawi in July could take in some of the shows in the island's music festival.

LANGKAWI, MALAYSIA, June 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People who are staying in Langkawi hotels during July will have the opportunity to see some of the performances that form part of the World International Legend Music and Song Festival.

This year marks the first time that the island has attempted to organise an event like this, which means that the atmosphere around the festival is likely to be just as exciting as the music itself.

Anyone who is planning to go along can look forward to watching "enthralling performances from various island musical troupes", as well as catching some shows which organisers promise will have audiences dancing.

As this is the first time that authorities on the island have run this festival, visitors can be sure that whatever they see and hear will be a unique experience.

No venue for the festival has yet been announced and tickets have not yet been released on general sale.

The second edition of the Langkawi Geopark Beach Run will also be taking place in July, the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club informs, with runners competing for cash prizes.
