Rod Stewart will take to the stage at Berlin's O2 World on July 4th.

BERLIN, GERMANY, May 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Music fans staying in Berlin hotels this July will have an opportunity to see world famous singer Rod Stewart live in concert.

The 65-year-old star will be performing at the O2 World on Sunday July 4th, giving the German audience a chance to hear hits from his long and distinguished career.

Born in London, Stewart turned to the music business after his attempts to make it as a footballer failed to take off.

He went on to become one of the UK's best-loved recording artists and a hugely popular figure worldwide, thanks in part to timeless hits such as Maggie May, Sailing, All For Love and The First Cut is the Deepest.

His solo career started to take off following stints as the singer of the Jeff Beck Group and the Small Faces in the late 1960s.

People heading to the Berlin concert in July will be seeing Stewart perform as part of his latest European tour, which also features concerts in cities such as Budapest, Vienna, Tel Aviv and Dortmund.

Tickets for the O2 World show, which is set to get underway at 20:00 local time, range between EUR62.20 and EUR101.30 (GBP52.90 and GBP86.20).

Reviewing one of the singer's performances in the city of Edmonton last August, Canadian media group Canoe praised Stewart for delivering a "pure rock 'n' roll show".

Although noting that the power of his famous voice may have been slightly damaged by age, the news provider claimed the star continues to delight audiences with his "pure charm" and sense of fun.

It added: "The show featured most of the greatest hits fans expected to hear, each song featuring a special treat, showcase solo, costume change or joke of some kind."
