People staying in Brisbane may want to head to Noosa at the end of next month for a music festival.

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, May 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anyone who enjoys discovering new talent at festivals as well as singing along to their favourite bands may want to book Brisbane hotels towards the end of next month.

On May 29th, the House With No Steps in Noosa will host its annual music festival - Ripe Noosa - where the best of Australia's rock, pop, dance and alternative musicians will gather for a full day of entertainment.

Opening at 12:00 (local time) and running until 22:00, music lovers will be able to spend a happy day wandering between the three stages and picking out their favourite artists to watch.

Among the performers due to take to the stage are Butterfingers, Cassette Kids, Grinspoon and The Cat Empire.

Organisers have lined up an eclectic mix of bands and singers, with everything from hip hop and rock to electro and pop represented.

As well as the music, revellers will be able to enjoy the market stalls, international food fair, games, rides and even art installations dotted around the fields.

It is only the second year that the event has been held, after a highly successful debut in 2009.

Everyone who attends is also being invited to enter a massive fancy dress competition, with prizes including VIP tickets for the event in 2011 and trips backstage to meet some of the artists.
