Guests staying in Madrid could head south to enjoy some old-style music at a stunning Unesco-protected palace between May 8th and June 20th.
MADRID, SPAIN, May 05, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Musica Antigua Festival will offer guests at Madrid hotels the chance to be transported back to a bygone age with the aid of some beautiful music played at the Palacio Real de Aranjuez.
In the grounds of this celebrated building, which has been recognised as a protected site by Unesco since 2001 and can be found just south of the Spanish capital in Aranjuez, there will be a series of concerts between May 8th and June 20th.
It has been running since 1994, with many of the previous years' performances available to purchase on CD.
Some of the acts that travellers could choose to go and see include the Camerata Iberia & Carlos Mena on June 5th, Musica Fiata Koln & La Capella Ducale on June 6th and Iagoba Fanlo & Alberto Martinez Molina on June 12th.
"Musicians, orchestras and choirs perform for audiences in the beautiful Habsburg gardens of the Royal Palace," stated worldwide listings site What's on When.
Tickets for the concerts are priced between EUR18 (GBP15.50) and EUR20 - although the June 6th event is EUR25 - and can be bought online or from selected distributors in the city.
Sunday shows will begin at 19:00 (local time), while the rest of the performances will take place at 17:00 or 20:00.
"The Musica Antigua Festival is likely to be popular," said Jess Reading, head of marketing at LateRooms. "LateRooms strongly recommends people considering attending to book hoteles Madrid as soon as possible."
