Green Day will perform an open-air concert at Munich's Olympia Reitanlage venue in June.

The band will be playing at the Olympia Reitanlage on June 11th, giving people staying in Munich hotels an opportunity to experience their thrilling live performance at an open-air venue.

Fans attending the Munich concert can expect to hear the best tracks from the latest record, as well as an array of classic songs such as Basket Case, Brain Stew/Jaded, When I Come Around, Minority and Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).

Tickets for the event, which will get underway at 16:30 local time, are currently priced at EUR65.50 (GBP56.60).

Proof of Green Day's enduring popularity can currently be found in the US, where a musical production based on the American Idiot album recently opened on Broadway.

Taking in $777,860 (GBP506,000) during its first week, the show has been hailed as another triumph for the band and could expose their music to a whole new audience.

The group are set to release an album featuring the cast of the production next month.
